CORE VALUES

Here's What We Value as a Church

The core values of any organization reflects who it is and what it believes.

Worship

We believe that everything points back to the glory of God through the finished work of Jesus in his life, death, and resurrection. That is the foundation of who we are as believers and who we are as a church. We are gospel-centered because the gospel stands at the center of God’s redemptive plan, and in it, we see Him most clearly for who He is and what He has done. Everything we do is built on and flows out of the grace and mercy that’s been extended to us through the finished work of Jesus.

FAMILY

The Bible holds up the church as a family, and that family is a beautiful mosaic of multi-ethnic and multi-generational believers that are unified through Jesus Christ. The New Testament shows us that the church is to gather corporately and live together communally throughout the week. This means that the weekday is just as important as the weekend.

Stewardship

We believe that everything that’s been given to us is a gift from God and that it is our responsibility to steward our gifts for the glory of God. We want to be a church that leverages our time, talent, and treasure through love, service, hospitality, and generosity for the sake of our church family and for our neighbors.

Missional Living

The Church is a movement that was established by Jesus, it’s the vehicle He’s given his message to. As those who have been restored through the finished work of Jesus, we have been charged to be ambassadors of restoration to a lost and broken world. Missional living isn’t an initiative, a program, or an event, it is a lifestyle. It’s not just adding things to your life, it's intersecting what you already do with gospel intentionality. In everything, we’re looking for ways to show and share the good news of Jesus.

CHARACTERISTICS

Our Church Culture

Though every church shares the essentials of the Christian faith in common, each local church has distinct characteristics, a culture.

Authenticity
We are a group of people who desire to be real with each other, with ourselves, and with our God. Because we are people transformed by the Gospel of Jesus, we lay down our lives sacrificially for the Kingdom of God. We know we are called by God to be a living Sacrifice, which is holy and pleasing to God and our true act of Worship
WE EMBRACE THE LOST & BROKEN
We are called to open our hearts and extend compassion to those who feel adrift and shattered by life's hardships. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are a church where everyone is pointed to the Gospel of Jesus on the journey toward healing.

We believe that God is the Creator of everything and that he exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the gospel is the central truth of the Bible, the foundation of our faith, and the fuel for the Christian life. The gospel is the good news that while we were dead in our sin, God sent his son Jesus to live a perfect life on our behalf, die a substitutionary death to pay the penalty for our sin, and rise again from the grave to offer us new life in his Spirit.

We believe the Bible to be God’s Word, a true and fully accurate account of God’s love for us. Its purpose is to teach us how to have a relationship with him, worship him, and bring him glory.

We believe that Jesus ordained two distinct offices within the local church: (1) Deacons are a group of qualified men and women who serve the church in practical ways, often by caring for church members with physical needs; (2) Elders—also called “pastors” or “overseers”—are a group of qualified men who bear a special responsibility to preach the Word and protect the church from false teaching.

We believe that baptism by immersion is a church ordinance that represents a person’s first public act of confession, repentance, and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord

We believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth and a movement of disciple-making disciples. As such, every believer should be identified with a local church for the purpose of mutual encouragement, spiritual growth, and accountability.

Join us on Tuesday, 12/24 at 4PM as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
